New name ideas needed...
It occured to me this weekend that E in B-More is no longer going to apply to my blog as I will be making the move closer to the DC Metro area...OK, the 'burbs---Rockville on Saturday. I need suggestions...the winner will receive a 12" pre-lit tinsel tree from Target in your choice of lime green, hot pink, aqua blue or silver-I am totally serious.
I made up this Turkey chili recipe last night:
1.5 lb. lean ground turkey
1 can black beans
1 can white beans
2 medium or 1 large yellow onion
1 can green chiles
1 little can of tomato paste
1 can chicken broth
2-4 T Ancho Chile powder
Jane's Krazy Mixed up Salt
Choice of cheese and Sour Cream for garnish
First chop up the onions and brown them in the pot with some olive oil and add the Krazy salt and pepper to taste. Once the onions start to get transparent add the ground turkey and the Ancho chile powder to taste. Cook the turkey and add the rest of the ingredients, mix together and simmer for a while (I let simmer for an hour) on low temp. When hungry spoon chili in bowl and garnish with cheese & sour cream. This made a big pot...I will be able to eat this for lunch and dinner all week---unless you want to freeze what you won't eat.
