Power of 3

I realize it's been a long time since I last posted to this dang thing. Life has been exciting, to say the least in the past few months. To recap:

~I started dating a really nice guy, Gary late this winter. Shelley introduced us, and we had a great time together. Even went away to the OBX for 5 days with Shelley & Joe and Nadine & Cort. I had an absolute blast on the trip...but alas, the relationship was not meant to be. Breaking up is never fun....but when I step back I think that I wanted it to work because the friendships that are associated are so great. I am confident that the 'right person' is out there for me...and I think that I will finally take my dear best friend's advice and try dating a few people...

~My Mom was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer 2 weeks ago, it has not spread to her lymph glands, and it is 'good cancer' I hate that my Mom has cancer. I hate that I will wear a cancer survivor ribbon with her name on it for the marathon. The good news is that they will remove the Thyroid next Friday, and then she won't have to have chemo or radiation.

~Work has been absolutely insane...but I really, really love it. My responsibilities increased about my former counterpart left Kelly & Associates. I think this is exactly what I needed and I am loving the challenges.

Other than that, started the marathon training last week, I cannot believe I'm doing this again. This year, I am really going to try and train with a group---for lots of reasons, but I need to meet more people---and what better company than runners! Looking forward to seeing my darling pregnant sister in a couple of weeks in Chicago.
